Seeing Double
“I think we were pushed out of Indiana,” Jane recalls. “If you didn’t have a husband when you graduated you were considered a lost cause.” It being 1970, the Fords packed up their car and headed to San Francisco. Capitalizing on their good looks, sparkling personalities, and the fact that they offered a double dose of both, they built up modeling portfolios doing catalog work for department stores like Macy’s and I. Magnin.
